When did the rules change, and what did we update?
Price labelling rules change quietly, and nothing announces it. This page records each change with its Official Gazette date and number, states what it means for electronic shelf labels, and shows what we updated on this site because of it.
This page is for information only and is not legal advice. The binding text is the version published in the Official Gazette; every entry links to its source.

Ban on service, table and cover charges in food and beverage venues
Fiyat Etiketi Yönetmeliği · md. 8/6
Any charge beyond the prices shown in the tariff and price list must now appear in that list. In restaurants, cafés, patisseries and similar food and beverage businesses, no additional payment may be demanded from the consumer under the name of service charge, table charge, cover charge or anything similar.
What it means for electronic labels
The menu price becomes the total the customer pays, so any gap between the listed price and the till price turns into a direct dispute. This makes the currency of the price list a compliance item in food and beverage, and raises the value of digital display fed from a single source.

QR code definition, electronic price display and the discount calculation
Fiyat Etiketi Yönetmeliği · md. 4 (tanımlar), md. 6, md. 8, md. 9, md. 11, md. 16
The regulation gained definitions for karekod (QR code) and tare. Electronic devices may now be used to display the sale price of goods such as books, magazines and newspapers. In food and beverage venues the price list may be shown by QR code, but a printed list must still be provided on request. For discounted sales the reference window for the previous price was cut from thirty days to ten, and a separate measure was introduced for perishable goods and services: the price applied immediately before the discounted one.
What it means for electronic labels
The discount calculation is the critical item: a single rule no longer suffices, because the previous-price calculation must differ by product category — the lowest price of ten days for goods, the immediately preceding price for perishables and services. Because the QR definition is tied to price-list access, a QR printed on a shelf label cannot replace the mandatory fields. The electronic device provision covers in-store price-check terminals rather than per-item labels.
